August 01, 2015 - Romania
In Romania the landscape changes: meagre mountain ranges, round hills with rather poor vegetation. A place for sheep herds and goats.
Now the cycle paths are quite good. The number of villages becomes less, and less opportunities to buy food. The villages don't seem to be very alive. Instead the landscape surrounding me is beautiful and various beyond description. Open land, narrow gorges and the broad Danube.
It is beautiful on the way to the Iron Gate. Passing Orsova and a dam, I reach Serbia again.
Passing Negotin I reach Vidin in Bulgaria.
